THHS Spanish
Honors Society
Welcome to the Spanish Honors Society at Trabuco Hills High School. SHS is an honor society for high school students enrolled in Spanish. It is nationally sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP).
SHS was formally organized as the Spanish National Honor Society in 1953 but was changed to the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica AKA Spanish Honors Society (SHS) in 1959.
Each year, the SHS contributes more than $160,00 in awards to student members. The most prestigious awards are college scholarships given to 60 high school senior SHS members and the Student Travel Award that is given to 24 high school junior SHS members nationally.

Our Mission
At SHS, we are committed to recognizing the effort of high school achievement in Spanish as well as promoting interest in Hispanic studies. This year, our goal is to complete a chapter (project) as a team by collaborating with advisors, and our Spanish community. Continuously, SHS requires each member to complete a minimum of community service hours to promote this growth.
